Our BHS AVID students participated in a self defense seminar sponsored by the Eng School of Self Defense. Students were tutored in methods and skills necessary to defend themselves from assault. We are so appreciative of our supportive community and businesses that strive to better our next generation. Thank you so much Mr. And Mrs. Revels.

Winter sports playoff *Update*
Girls Basketball- defeated Central in the first round & will host Eau Claire High School Thursday, Feb. 20th for round 2 of the SCHSL playoffs at 7:00 pm.
Boys Basketball- suffered a heart-breaking defeat in overtime last night at Central. Trailing by 18 pts in the 4th quarter, the Wildcats showed great resilience by clawing their way back in the game, eventually taking the lead and sending the game into OT. With the score tied 80-80, Central went the full length of the court and threw up a late 3 to win the game as time expires! It was a great game from start to finish. We are proud of Coach Littlejohn and his team for an outstanding season!

Congratulations to Haylee Carroll, BHS AVID Senior. Haylee has been accepted to Lander, USC Columbia, and Winthrop Universities. She has been offered a merit scholarship of $7,000 per year to attend Winthrop University. Haylee plans to be a Gamecock and major in criminal justice to become a lawyer. Way to go Haylee!
