Cherokee County School District eLearnind Day. Monday, April 8th will be an elearning day for Cherokee County School district due to the solar eclipse that is expected to occur. The eclipse is predicted to occur during afternoon dismissal times, posing a potential safety risk to our students and staff. Additionally, the district feels it may be unsafe for our buses or student drivers to be on the roads during the height of the event. Athletic and after school activities will be allowed on Monday, April 8th but only after 5:00 p.m., once the eclipse has passed. Further details regarding elearning instruction for that day will come in the near future. We appreciate your cooperative and support, as safety is always our top priority.
