Limestone Universtiy. Attention Dual enrollment students, Limestone representatives will be on campus at Blacksburg High School on November 7. Registar Jennifer Ledbetter will be in the guicance office from 8:00 am  to 12:00 pm to register current dual enrollment students or enroll new students for the Spring semester. Limestone University is committed to providing our Dual Enrollment students with the full college experiece by offering new incentives in Academic Support and L-Card perks. A special congratulations to the following student athletes. These athletes were chosen by their respective head coach to serve on the BHS Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The committee is an extension of the SCHSL Student-Athlete Advisory Committee where our very own, Paris Mayes, serves as secretary.  •The goals of the SAAC include: 🐾Serves to gain insight into the student athlete population and their experience  🐾Share thoughts to help promote and implement programs that encourage BHS core values as well as student athlete well-being  🐾Offer student athletes with opportunities for growth and collaborative learning in the classroom
Parents, BHs will be hosting a Veterans Day program on November 11, 2024 at 10 am in the gymnasium. Families are invited to attend. If you have veterans in your family or are close friends wiht a veteran, we would love to honor them by including their picture and information in our presentation. Please get your student to fill out the form and send it to Mrs. Crater by November 8. Your student may also invite a veteran to eat lunch with them here at BHs on that day. those forms must also be complted and sent to m Mrs. Crater by November 8. If your family sent pictures and information for your veteran last year, they do not need to send it again. Those pictures will automatically be included in our program.

Senior Spotlight of the Day Grace Martin, Grace plans to attend a four-year university after graduation. Her favorite part of BHS has been paricipating in and attending athletic events. Grace says that, Tamara Davis has been a constant source of support for her, always there when she needed guidance or encouragment. Grace is actively involved in HOSA, track and field and the empowered girls club. Here advice to rising ninth graders is simple, "Enjoy it while it lasts, because it'll all be over before you know it."
