Cherokee County School District Immunizations.  MUSC Hollings Cancer Center's Community Health Van will provide HPV, Tdap and Meningitis immunizations to Cherokee County School District middle and high school students on September 7-9 (with parental consent). Walk-ins are also allowed with parental consent. HPV 2nd dose is available for those who received the 1st dose in March 2022. Blacksburg High School (9th grade only ) 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Beat Cancer What parents need to know about HPV. The HPV vaccine is FDA approved and extremely safe and effective. The HPV vaccine is for both boys and girls.  The optimal age  for the first dose is 11-12, but it can be given as early as 9. Your child only needs 2 doses if vaccination is initiated before age 15.
