This morning at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast, students from B. D. Lee Elementary, Blacksburg High, and Gaffney High were honored for outstanding work.
The 2024 B. D. Lee Elementary School Odyssey of the Mind Team was recognized for their participation in a recent international competition. Team members included Kaidyn Swinton, Jahanna Dawkins, Angel’Skye Savage, Erika Mann, Ka’Myria Ellis, Brooklyn Douglas, and De’Taya Allen.
Mr. Shedrick Sarratt, Ms. Lucy Thayer, Ms. Ellyson Tate, Mr. Ziyon Harris, and Mr. Luke Leskanic were the BHS and GHS student honorees. Each one has earned extraordinary achievements and has contributed to both their schools and communities.
Dr. Eric Blanton of Gaffney High School and Dr. Thomas White, Jr. Interim Superintendent were recognized for their dedication as well.
