Calling All Local Artists!
SUBMISSIONS
The BBA invites you to submit your art for our Spring Community Art Stories contest!
This event will be open to all art
formats: painting, photography, sculpture, sketching, wood, mixed media, ceramics, fiber arts, etc. The works submitted must be your ORIGINAL creation. The art submission must be able to be displayed on a table or floor, and you will supply the appropriate materials to display your work, such as an easel, box, standing frame, etc.
Label your art on the back or in an area that is not visible to the viewer, with your Name, Title of your Art, Year of creation, & Phone number. Please indicate if your submission is for sale & sale price.
Indicate if your submission will be entered into the Youth Category (current age of 10 & under) or the Senior Category (ages 11-infinity)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 16, 2024 AT 2:00
You may drop off your submission in the lobby area at Town Hall during their regular business hours. Caveat: They are not responsible for any damages occurring to any art that is left in the lobby.
You may also reach out to the BBA, via Facebook messenger, to make arrangements for dropping off your work.

2nd & 3rd entry: $20 each

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place, Youth Category
1st Place, overall People’s Choice Award
All art will be on display for public viewing on April 20, 2024 at the Blacksburg Museum & Civic Center from 10:00am-4:00pm. All visitors will cast their votes during these hours for the People’s Choice Award.
If any artist that submits entries for the contest wishes to set up a small booth of your original artwork for sale, please reach out to, Nina Cobb, via the BBA’s Facebook messenger for details on how to participate in this opportunity.
