September 12th is a day to celebrate and honor the impact of the AVID program on our students, educators, and community here at BHS. We recognize our great program’s role in promoting educational equity by preparing our students for college and career success.

BHS Hope Squad welcomed students with the message that "You Matter" for National Suicide Awareness Day this morning. Every student and staff member was welcomed with an awareness bracelet and information card.

BHS Alumni, show your Wildcat pride by ordering our official exclusive BHS commemorative 100th Anniversary shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies. All proceeds will be used for our school and its programs.
Football, volleyball, Wildcat Band, chorus, and cheerleading logo alumni shirts are now available via this link. BHS Alumni shirts will be added tomorrow. Other teams will be added later in the year closer to tneir alumni recognitions.
This cycle of ordering closes September 21 to allow delivery to BHS for pickup by September 29 for Alumni Volleyball Recognition and for delivery to BHS for all other recognitions by October 1 for pickup before Homecoming on October 3.

The Ring Ceremony will be October 6 at 6 o'clock.  Students will line up at 5:30.  Juniors or seniors that missed the ceremony last year or early graduates may participate in the ceremony.  Please ask your student to sign up on Schoology or see Mrs. Crater if they have questions.  All details are posted on Schoology.

Thanks to your support last year, the Blacksburg Athletic Booster Club has funded new gear, facility upgrades, and provided post-game meals for student-athletes.
All in, over $11,500 in donations were made from the booster club to various sports organizations. And we’re just getting started.
This year, we want to do more for all sports. We can't do any of this without our volunteers and your generous donations! Please consider making a donation, whether it's your time or money! Renewals are open now until July 31st. New applications will be accepted beginning August 1st.
