*CCSD Mask Policy applies to all on-campus learning:

Mask Wearing: By order of the South Carolina State Superintendent, all middle and high school students are required to wear protective face coverings while on campus or on the school bus during the 2020-2021 school year. Face coverings are required to help slow and/or prevent the spread of COVID19. All face coverings should be worn to cover the nose and the mouth.

Face coverings cannot promote violence, drugs, alcohol, inappropriate behavior, gang affiliation, and may not express inflammatory symbols or inappropriate language.

Students with specific health related issues must provide a doctor’s note (to the school nurse) to be excused from wearing a mask.

Students excluded from wearing masks:
1. Students unable to remove the covering without assistance; and/or
2. Those with special healthcare or educational needs as determined by an Individualized Education Program (IEP), 504 Accommodations Plan, or an individual student healthcare plan, or by a medical doctor.

Students should be given ample opportunities by teachers and administration to correct any issues with protective face
coverings wearing before discipline is issued.
